Ann Elizabeth Geiger, born on September 15, 1932, in Butte, Montana, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, in Issaquah, Washington, where she resided in the last years of her life. A dedicated educator and church office administrator, Ann's passion for children and her unwavering faith were the cornerstones of her life. Ann earned her Bachelor's Degree from Seattle University and began her career in teaching. She met and married Monte in Seattle WA where together they began raising four children, eventually settling in Spokane. After lovingly staying at home with her children, she returned to various teaching positions, later serving as an office administrator at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. In addition to her family and professional accomplishments, Ann had a wide range of interests that enriched her life and the lives of her family and friends. She was avid and skilled at sewing, knitting, and crocheting, often creating beautiful handmade items for loved ones and community, including prayer shawls and infant hats for those in need. Her baking skills were equally impressive, as she delighted in baking endless cookies and treats that brought joy to her children and many others.
As long time parishioners of St. Mary’s in Spokane Valley, Ann and Monte followed a life of faith and found lifelong friendships there that always included meeting for Sunday breakfast to celebrate and laugh. Once retired, she and Monte enjoyed their summers at Lake Pend Oreille in a community that brought many friendships and good times, keeping them young at heart. Ann loved time spent playing card games, particularly bridge and pinochle, which provided her with cherished moments shared with family and friends. Her warmth and hospitality made her gatherings fun for all. Ann is survived by her daughter, Julie Waller and her two sons, Dan Geiger and Pat Geiger, along with and her son-in-law, Jack Waller. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Monte and oldest son Tim.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and community service. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched throughout her life. Ann’s family would like to thank the caring staff at Issaquah Memory Care (formerly Ciel/Fieldstone) as well as Eden Hospice.
