Avinel (Avi) DeFlorio came into this world on July 29th, 2022 to Brittany DeFlorio, and she took her final breath in her mama's arms on December 26th, 2025 after a very brave 8 month fight with DMG brain cancer.

What an amazing gift she was from the day she was born, instantly changing lives. Avi's time on Earth was short, but the impact she made was immeasurable by healing hearts and teaching us a love like no other. She was a pure soul, angelic and radiant and to meet her was to be instantly captivated by her sweet, smart gentle, funny and loving personality. Avi deeply loved her people, and she wanted everyone to be happy. She was showered with love every day of her entire life by her beautiful mother Brittany, Grandmothers Michelle and Tammy, Auntie Sarah-Jane, Sis-Cousin Audrey, Uncle Chris, TT Rosa, Uncle Lamar, Cousin Kai, GG, Nona, her Kiki and many other family members and her close village. Avi loved Bluey, dancing to Vanilla Ice, bathtime with mama, Grandma cones and spending time with her sister-cousin Audrey. Her big brown eyes, her beautiful smile and her sweet laughter will be greatly missed, but we will see her in every ray of sunshine, every rainbow and every bright shining star. Until we see you again Avi - laugh, play and be free sweet girl!

A celebration of life will be held Saturday January 31, 2026 at the 5 Mile Prairie Grange from 3pm-6pm. In lieu of flowers, please bring an unwrapped new toy or book to be donated in Avi's name to other children facing a terminal illness.
