Blake B
Cloney
December 9, 1930 – December 26, 2020
Blake Cloney was born in December 1930 in Pontiac, Michigan to Laurence P. Cloney, a WWI Purple Heart recipient, and his wife Irene (Springer) Cloney. The family, including siblings Phil, Laurence Jr. and Allison moved to Detroit until 1948, when the Cloney family relocated to Southern California, where Blake graduated from Glendale High School. Blake enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean War. Blake met his wife of 57 years, Rose Marie, where they were both employed by the Globe Ticket Company. They were married in Los Angeles in 1962. The couple eventually settled in West Covina with their 3 children, Mark, Paul and Andrea. Blake was a dedicated and loyal husband, father and friend with a great sense of humor and a ready smile for everyone, but perhaps most importantly to him; he was a lifelong practicing Roman Catholic, with great devotion to Our Lord Jesus Christ, His Blessed Mother and especially the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Blake died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 90 after a long battle with dementia and Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his loving wife, 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. His The family offers their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the dedicated Staff of the North Central Care Center of Spokane, WA, Spokane Hospice and the Veteran's Administration who cared for Blake in his final illness.
