Carole Underdahl Heinen was born March 5th, 1939 in Bismark, ND to Clarence and Florence Underdahl. She died from Pancreatic Cancer on October 20th, 2023 in Spokane, WA at the age of 84.
Carole Graduated from North Central High School, Spokane in 1957 and was a constant attendee of the North Central Alumni Association lunches and Dinners. She was a Loving wife for 42+ years to the Love of her Life, Donald "JIM" Heinen. She has an amazing Sister, Bonnie Gillam of Spokane Valley. Carole was a Mother to 7 children, Jeff and Nancy Barton (Son), Daniel and Ida Heinen (Son), Sheryl and Wade Thuline (Daughter), Tony and Carol Underdahl (Son), Andy and Janine Underdahl (Son), Dennis and Donna Heinen (Son), Derek and Ruth Smith (Son)......, 22 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren! She had an amazing way of never missing a Birthday of anyone in the Family. She was Infinitely Kind, Strong, Funny, Sarcastic, Hard Working and Loving! Her Family was always #1 in her heart and would do anything to help or protect them!
She Retired from Washington Water Power / Avista in 1994, after 27 years of Service and was fierce about sharing her knowledge of saving energy with all who would listen. She enjoyed going to church with Jim at Assumption Catholic Church on Indian Trail Rd, listening to Father Tim.
Carole loved LIFE! She loved traveling around the Country with Jim in their Motorhome, visiting the hundreds of Cousins around the United States. She loved Golf, Cooking, Hosting Parties, Sewing, her Cats, playing cards and Wine. She loved to watch her kids and grandchildren play sports.....Hundreds and hundreds of games! The Seahawks, Cougars and Mariners. Wintering in Arizona with her friends. But mostly she LOVED her Family! There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her Family. They were truly her Heart and Joy!
In lieu of Flowers, please feel free to send donations to Hospice of Spokane Hospice House, 367 E. 7th, Spokane, WA 99202, in Carole's name.
