Obituary

Charles F. Peltier passed peacefully on July 12, 2025. Born at Sacred Heart May 11, 1938 to Jerome and LaVerle Peltier. His Father owning "Clarks Old Book store" downtown and a Historian / Author for P.N.W. Charlie became a lover of books and history at an early age. He attended St. Pascal's and graduated from West Valley H.S. in 57'. He enjoyed fellowship and lunch each month with his classmates.

He enlisted in the NAVY, a 2 year tour in Philippines and 4 years in reserves. Then went to Moler Barber College for 2 years. He worked in various shops before buying one in Millwood. Of course, he liked being his own boss and especially meeting old and new friends. Good place to share his sense of humor through stories and antidotes. Always a Bible handy if anyone needed Comfort or Prayer.

He married Astrid "Ann" Sather in 86' at Fourth memorial Church with Pastor Ed. Underhill. He had given his life to the Lord at age 45 and very eager to learn about God and His word! He taught Discovery class for new converts and attended many classes at Moody Bible school at Fourth Memorial.

Music was very important to him singing and playing acoustic guitar and was self-taught. He had a singing and playing ministry to many nursing homes and assist living facilities. His wife went along to be his cheerleader and sing-along. He also was in several music groups through the years.

Charlie was a member of Westerner and active on the Board of Bing Crosby one of the Advocates and Docent at Crosby house. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of Bing Crosby with visitors from all over the states.

He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister Joanie and brother Frank. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Niece Mary (Loren) Veldran grand niece and nephew Amanda (Jeremiah) Carson. Yvette (John) and Bryan. His extended family Thanks to his brother was Nellie Reynolds, Lisa (Phil) Leija.Zachery (Riley) and Cesar.

Charlie Loved Life and People and had a quiet, calm spirit. A Prayer Warrior. So long for now until we meet again. The Bible was his lifeline and favorite book; he slept with it and A.W. Tozer on his chest at night.

John 14:6 I am the Way the Truth and the Life no one comes to the Father except through me.
