Obituary

Craig Matthew Wulf was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 19, 1952 to Donald Albert Wulf and Lila Faye Phillips, Craig is survived by his beloved wife, Anita; his children, AnnaMarie, Michael Joseph, Amy, Sally, Katie, David, and Jonathan; his sister, Cynthia Ann Wulf-McGrath; and his brother, Steven Mark Wulf.

Craig grew up in a healthy, happy and welcoming home in Climbing Hill, Iowa where his father Donald ran the local grocery store. Craig grew up surrounded by family and dear friends and the Church.

His love and dedication to Jesus was evident throughout his lifetime. His gentle spirit and faith in Jesus Christ aided him to pursue the work he was called to do.

After graduating from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft Wayne in 1980 he served as a missionary in Nigeria.

Through seminary, as a missionary, and at Hope he dedicated 51 years in the service of spreading the message of salvation and everlasting life that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

He was Installed at Hope Lutheran June 23, 1985. and served this congregation, our circuit and district until his passing September 10th 2026.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends and the congregation he so faithfully served for forty-one years.

“Well done, My good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21

Services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Wednesday September 23rd. 17909 E. Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley 99016.

Viewing at 10:30, Funeral Service will be at 11:00am. There will be a reception following, all are invited to attend.

The interment service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:00pm, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane, Wa. 99208. It takes approximately 40 minutes from Hope.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the LWML to be sent for the support of our seminary students.
