Obituary

On Tuesday, August 23, 2022 David Elliott Heller a beloved Brother, Uncle, and Friend to all that knew him passed away at the age of 60 years.  He was born October 25, 1961 in Spokane Washington. He was adopted by Arnold and Patricia Heller as an infant.  On November 2 nd , 1961 another baby (Shaun Heller) was born.  His mother would joke that they had a SPECIAL deal going at the hospital Ha-ha!! Adopt one and get a second, both were adopted and raised as twins practically.  He attended Jefferson Grade School and Lewis and Clark High School.  He was in the United States Navy.  His parents owned cabin near Conkling Park on Lake Coeur d'Alene.  His Aunt Pat and Uncle Norman shared the cabin next door which allowed for many memories running back and forth between cabins and hanging out with the cousins.  He enjoyed everything from fishing to water skiing and driving the speed boat with family and friends on the boat trips up the St. Joe River.  He was a charter member of Plymouth Congregational Church of Spokane. He loved Scrabble, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and reading a good book. He was an avid reader. One of his favorite writers was Tom Grisham.  He loved to cook up steaks on the BBQ and have friends over to enjoy a beer.  He enjoyed the adventure and freedom of traveling and spent most of his life traveling all over the USA.  He was a great storyteller and teller of jokes.  His life was never dull.  He had a heart for the homeless population, having been there himself.  He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.  He is survived by his brothers Craig Heller of Salt Lake, UT, Shaun Heller (wife Diana) of Spokane, WA. Nieces: Madeline Pacheco (husband Phil) Alisha Bates (husband Blake) Chelsea Lively and her daughter LaylaImes Lively and several cousins and friends that were like family.
