David Thomas
Meehan
Jul 21, 1956 — Oct 23, 2026
Spokane, WA
David Thomas Meehan was born in Concord, CA on July 21st, 1956 to Thomas Peter Meehan and Florence Elizabeth Meehan. He had two brothers and one sister who have already passed. David had a life-long passion for classic cars, specifically 1930’s hotrods, music, pottery, and painting. He had an uncanny skill toward anything mechanical, and spent his career being an auto mechanic while specializing in auto body repair, a master welder and boilermaker.
He experienced an unusual incident in 1973 where during a van wreck, he was thrown 30 feet from the vehicle and arrived to the hospital with no pulse, but screaming. It was during this experience he would later recall that he descended into hell, cried out to Jesus Christ and immediately awoke in the ER. He gave his life to his faith in Christ and shared his testimony with all who would listen, while showing love & grace to all. He would go to great limits to help all who were in need, while showing comfort to any who suffered. He had one son and three granddaughters, and a close friend named Bob who he loved and cared about deeply. He loved nature, and lived most his life near the ocean.
His favorite Bible verse was John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
