It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Gordon Nyberg, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dave was born 1/30/1949, in Spokane, the son of Clarance and Ardis Nyberg.

Dave married the love of his life, Colleen (McGee) Nyberg.  They shared over 50 years of love and partnership. He was a devoted husband, father and family man whose life was defined by service, responsibility and quiet strength.  He proudly served his country on the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger, a role that reflected his courage, discipline, and deep sense of duty.  His military service was a source of pride and shaped the values he carried throughout his life.

Dave was a steady, hardworking, and deeply loyal to those he loved.  He believed in showing up, doing things right, and taking care of his family - Values that guided his life and will continue through those he leaves behind.

Left to cherish Dave's memory is his loving wife, Colleen; siblings, Bob Nyberg and Marilyn Holmes; three children, Kristine Mashat, Josh Nyberg and Joey Nyberg; 9 grandchildren, Ben Mashat, Vanessa Mashat, Natalie Nyberg, Carson Nyberg, Caleb Nyberg, David Nyberg, Eli Nyberg, Sawyer Nyberg, and Sylvie Nyberg; and one great Grandchild, Elise Tageldin.

Dave will be deeply missed and forever honored by those who knew him.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, at Peaceful Valley Church, 201 Allen Rd, Elk WA, 99009 at 11:00am.
