Obituary

Donald “Don” E Deno born August 11, 1938, passed away peacefully in the early morning of June 9, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.

Don grew up in Spokane, Washington and attended Rogers High School. Shortly after graduation, he proudly joined the United States Army, serving his country for four years. Following his military service, Don built a successful career in business. He began as Vice President of Columbia Paint and later became the owner of Perfection Letz in Kennewick, where he earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Don enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved living on the golf course at Meadow Springs, and spent many cherished years at Priest Lake, Idaho, creating memories with family and friends. He firmly believed that “you can’t put a price tag on a good time,” and he lived by those words every day. Whether golfing, boating, laughing with friends, or spending time with family, Don embraced life with enthusiasm, humor, and an adventurous spirit.

He was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and ability to make everyone around him feel welcome. At the end of every visit, Don would often flash a grin and say, “Glad you got to see me”, a phrase that perfectly captured his playful personality and confidence.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Edna Deno, his brothers Ron Deno, Stan Deno, and Ray Deno and his sisters Betty Messmer and Margery Horn.

He is survived by his four daughters, Rhonda Brandt, Carrie Byrd, Julie Deno, and Dawn Frye; their mother Janice Deno, his eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Don was a big family man and had so much love for each of them.

Don’s legacy of laughter, friendship, and living life to the fullest will continue through all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many.

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Donald E Deno. His service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane. We are grateful for the love, support, and memories shared by all who knew him.
