Don Anderson, Jr. was Born on November 2, 1934, to Don and Gretchen Anderson. He spent most of his life in Spokane, where he attended both Gonzaga High School and his beloved Gonzaga University. Don later earned his doctorate at Colorado State University. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Gracia Geraghty, and together they raised three sons in Spokane.

Don left his mark on many people and places. He gave everything 100%, whether that was developing a ski area in Montana, playing championship squash, leading studies on infectious diseases, developing a cross country ski community at Priest Lake, Idaho, or, most importantly, being a dedicated family man.

He loved the outdoors around the great Inland Northwest, especially north Idaho and western Montana, where he fly-fished the rivers and creeks in spring / summer, and cross country skied the surrounding hills in winter.

After retiring from a long career in Microbiology at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the 1990s, he and Gracia spent as much time as possible at their favorite spot, Priest Lake, Idaho. He loved the community, cross country skiing and his real passion, picking huckleberries. However, he coveted nothing more than gathering there with family and friends and sharing that passion for this natural wonder. He cherished that his kids' families, including all his grandchildren, shared the same love for this place. Many of the best family memories involve being together at the lake.

Baba, as his grandchildren know him, is deeply missed, but his generous and loving impact on all those who knew him will live on forever.
