Eda
Anselmo
September 5, 1920 – September 21, 2023
Eda was born September 5, 1920 in Trail, British Columbia Canada. She married Theodore (Ted) Anselmo in Trail on August 25, 1942. Ted died August 24, 1991. Ted worked for Cominco in Trail and on their many trips to Spokane to visit Eda's sister Norma and husband Robert Colistro they decided to move to Spokane. Later, her other sister Jean Redding and her husband Ralph moved to Spokane, and the three sisters were together living in the Minnehaha (Little Italy) neighborhood raising their families.
Eda was preceded in death by her parents Alfonso and Fernanda Monaldi, husband Theodore (Ted), sisters Rena, Adelina, Norma, Jean and brothers Remo and Giuseppe. Eda is survived by her daughter Sharon (Gordon) Turlik, son Robert (Laney) Anselmo, grandchildren Joe and Lisa, great grandchildren Jared and Adam Anselmo, and many nieces and nephews.
Eda worked at Cooper Elementary School in the cafeteria for many years, and if the children wanted an extra cookie they know who to ask. Her home was always open to anyone and she was such a good friend to many.
Eda enjoyed watching hockey and her favorite team the New York Rangers. She also made many trips for hockey tournaments to Canada and the Snoopy Tournament in Santa Rosa, CA. She and Ted took many trips to Reno and Las Vega and she loved her trip to Italy to see where her parents were born.
Many thanks to Riverview Terrace and Horizon Hospice for the special care they provided.
