Elizabeth Ruth Seela Andrews, aged 89, peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and love. Born in Corona, New Mexico on March 17, 1936, she was the cherished daughter of Hazel Crete Sager and Theodore Newton Seela. At the age of three, her family relocated to Wallace, Idaho, where they lived on a farm and her father's work in the mines began a life of hard work and determination. As a child, she was known as, "Betty" to her two beloved sisters, Jeannie White and Ann Hall (Ray).
In her retirement years, she returned to Spokane, where she continued to work, with Bank of America being her longest employer. As a young girl, Elizabeth's mother moved the girls to Prosser, Washington, where she excelled at school and later graduated from Prosser High School. She welcomed her daughter, Debby Andrews whom she considered the light of her life. Elizabeth worked diligently in her professional career. She spent many years at Kaiser Aluminum in data processing before moving to California. There, she was instrumental in establishing the data processing center for Chalk Children's Hospital and later contributed to a children's hospital in San Diego.
Elizabeth's passions extended beyond her career; she had an unwavering love for fashion and adventure. She looked forward to visiting places like Hilton Head, France, Japan and the Hawaiian Islands. She enjoyed cooking and home decor. She had a passion for convertible cars. Spending many hours reading non-fiction gave her joy. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her Greats! Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Debby Northrop (Steve), grandchildren: Stephanie Hengstler (Colby), Andrew Northrop, and Kayla Northrop Olson (Peter), as well as seven nephews and one niece. She adored her great-grandchildren ; Avary, Beau, Emerson, Isla, and Sawyer-who brought immense joy to her life.
Her spirit, kindness and dedication to her Lord and Savor will be deeply missed.
