Shupe
September 18, 1950 – October 17, 2021
Ellis "Lynn" Shupe (71) of Spokane, WA. passed away at home of natural causes on October 17 th 2021.
Lynn was born on September 18 th , 1950 in Moab, UT to Colleen LaRae Irish Shupe and Ike Wilson Shupe. After graduating from Grand County High School, he entered the Army and proudly served our country in Vietnam.
He met the love of his life and best friend, Linda Fay Hawley, and was happily married for 49 years. He was looking forward to celebrating their 50 th anniversary with a trip through the Panama Canal in March. Together they loved to explore the country in their travel trailer and especially enjoyed camp hosting at Priest Lake. For 30 years they were involved in and ministered for World Wide Marriage Encounter, where they met many lifelong friends.
Lynn was a dedicated employee of the City of Spokane Water Department. Over his 43 year career he worked his way up from Laborer 1 to Superintendent. He retired in 2015.
He was a loving, caring man who influenced many lives. Lynn was always full of laugher, jokes and pranks but all his shenanigans came from the bottom of his heart. He would always go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. His favorite hobbies included woodturning, coaching soccer, softball and teaching teens how to drive. He was always front row at all the music, dance recitals and sporting events for his kids & grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Linda, their two daughters Kristina McGoldrick (Steve), and Karrie Diana; his four grandchildren, Austin (Carrie), Gabriella, Nicholas, Tori, and Bella. Lynn was greatly anticipating the birth of his first great-granddaughter LuLu. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters .
Lynn will always remain in our hearts as our Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
