George passed away on September 11, 2021 from heart failure. George was born in Spokane to John Goggin and Hazel Wilbur Goggin. His childhood was chaotic and hard. In high school he participated in football and boxing. He joined the Navy, married and had two boys. In 1964 he married Kathleen Tweet in Butte, MT. Together they raised their five children in Otis Orchards, WA. George worked construction, diving, mining, and truck driving. He always looked out for the less fortunate and seldom passed up a hitchhiker. He was a very happy dad. He was always reading and learning and he enjoyed all his children and grand children's activities. Gonzaga basketball was a priority.  He spent many hours with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. George is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children Richard Goggin, Katie Goggin, Mike (Debbie) Goggin, Joe (Christi) Goggin, John Goggin in Arizona, and Dennis Goggin in Utah. He is pre-deceased by his parents, his in-laws Norris and Nellie Tweet, and son Robert Goggin (2007).  In lieu of flowers send memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Otis Orchards or to the St. Joseph Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326.
