George (Sonny) passed away on February 26, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Aileen Garofalo and an infant brother Christopher.

Sonny was survived by his daughter Shelly Garofalo (Puyallup) his son Grant (Kelly) Garofalo of Tacoma; two brothers, Roger (RaeAnn) Garofalo of the Spokane Valley

and Gary (Marlene) Garofalo of Mesa, Arizona.  George also had two grandchildren, Xander and Nyssa Garofalo, both in Puyallup, Nephews Chad, Chris, Curt and Nicolas Garofalo and niece Vanessa Stephens.

George was born in Revelstoke, BC, Canada and became a US citizen in May of 1963 along with his Mother, Aileen.  He was a student at Gonzaga Prep High School and attended Gonzaga University. His career started in the finance industry, where he worked for many years and the remainder of his career with Kaiser Aluminum in the Spokane Valley.  He was also a avid hockey fan with the Colorado Avalanche being his favorite team.  He was also a huge movie buff and always had the latest information of the new released movies.  He had numerous friends and was family to his neighbors.  There were many occasions to visit his family members in many areas of the US and Canada, so traveling was a great enjoyment for him throughout his life.
