Geraldine Marie
Comstock
August 26, 1953 – June 17, 2025
Geraldine "Geri" Comstock, 71, of Colbert, Washington, passed away on June 17, 2025.
She was born on August 26, 1953, to Robert and Helen Donovan in Deadwood, South Dakota. She was the "middle child," with older siblings Donald "Don," Patricia "Pat," and Mary, and younger siblings Helen and Robert "Bob." She graduated from high school in Concrete, Washington, where she met Larry Comstock. The two were married in 1971, just as Larry began his career in the U.S. Marine Corps.
During Larry's service as an aviator, the couple moved frequently, but Geri remained a steady and supportive presence. She became a registered nurse and worked in both clinical and corporate healthcare settings. Together, they raised two daughters, Coleen and Rachel, and built a close-knit circle of friends through their military life—friendships that lasted a lifetime.
After retiring to Spokane, Washington, Geri and Larry cherished time spent with family in the Pacific Northwest. Geri filled her days with church involvement, volunteer work, and, when not traveling with Larry, visiting her beloved grandchildren. Anyone who knew Geri understood that Larry was her anchor, and his passing in 2023 was a profound loss.
Geri was a devoted and loving mother to Coleen and Rachel, and a proud grandmother to Alec, Daniel, Jonathan, Annalise, Camden, and Benjamin. She loyally attended their sporting events, school activities, and took them on vacations.
Geri is survived by her daughters, Coleen (Steve) Drinkard and Rachel (George) Poulson; her grandchildren, Alec, Daniel, Jonathan, Annalise, Camden, and Benjamin; her siblings, Don, Helen, and Bob; and siblings-in-law, Tom and Vickie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, and siblings, Pat and Mary.
While we mourn Geri's passing, we find comfort in knowing she is in the blessed presence of her Savior.
Geri's children would like to express their gratitude to family and friends for the outpouring of love and support. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, followed by a reception at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colbert, WA. Graveside services will be held on July 10, 2025 at 10am at Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete, WA.
