Gladys Mary Carlsen, loving wife, beloved mother, and grandmother passed on to be with the Lord on September 10, 2022. Gladys is survived by her husband Dale Lee Carlsen, her children Jeffrey, Vicki, and Gregory, and her grandchildren, Matthew, David, Daniel, Hanna, Rockford, Selena, and Gabriella.

Born April 11, 1935, Gladys was a resident of Spokane Valley for the last 50 years.

She started nursing school at Sacred Heart in Spokane. She met and married her husband Dale on July 28, 1956. Together they traveled, living the Air Force life until 1972, where she served as secretary to the Commanding Officer at the FAFB Survival School until retirement. Being one of eight siblings, Gladys loved her large family and was very proud of all of them. She loved and appreciated many things, from the beauty of the river, to playing slots and spending time with her family and many friends.
