Glen A
Krum
May 25, 1947 – May 11, 2024
Our beloved Glen Adam Krum stepped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the age of 76. Glen was born in Spokane, Washington on May 25, 1947. He grew up on the South Hill where he attended Lewis and Clark High School, graduating in 1965. After his graduation, he joined the Navy. He was assigned to the USS Galveston during the Vietnam War and was stationed in the South China Seas. He was honorably discharged in 1968 as an E5. He then joined the Reserves and returned to Spokane, Washington where he met Carol Ashworth on her 20th Birthday. They married two years later on February 14, 1970, and had 3 children, Steve, Michele, and Melissa.
In 1972 he used his GI Bill to attend a long haul truck driving school in Chicago, IL where he graduated first in his class. He retired in 2012 after 40 years of driving over 3 million miles, accident-free.
He loved playing his guitar, riding his horse Magnum, and riding in the hills on his RZR. Both he and Carol said God saved the best for last when, in 2017, they bought a Harley enjoying countless hours together going places they had never been. Glen was an active member of the Rathrdum Lions Club.
He walked out the last year of his life, the way he lived it, with quiet strength, courage, and a desire to make it as easy as possible for all who loved him, especially his wife of 54 years. He lived life to the fullest and loved every minute. Glen had the heart of a lion, his faith and convictions remained strong and uncompromised until he drew his last breath on earth, taking his next one in heaven.
Glen is survived by his four children, Cassandra Russell (Ben), Steve Krum (Debbie), Michele Brady (Matt), and Melissa Page (Scott), 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, his brother Rob Krum (Vicki) 2 nephews and 4 nieces.
Glen was greeted by his father Adam Krum, mother Ruth Krum, sister Ellen Jackson (Gerald), and 3 grandsons, Joshua Fewkes, Adam Fewkes, and Austin Krum.
