We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear husband, father and Opa, Wayne Clairmont on September 12, 2024.

Wayne was born and raised in Spokane. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Teresa, the love of his life, his daughter Lindsay (Ross) Hill, and his granddaughters, Mia and Aly. His love for his family was endless.

He graduated from Gonzaga Prep HS and received his BA Education and MA from Eastern Washington. Wayne taught for 25 years with Spokane Public Schools at Sacajawea Middle School. He always stated that the proudest moment in his life was when his daughter followed in his footsteps and became a teacher with Spokane Public Schools.

Wayne was passionate about hockey and he played in Spokane, British Columbia and Oregon for over 50 years. Along with his love for hockey, he was an avid jogger and completed three Coeur d'Alene marathons.

No services will be held at Wayne's request. If you knew Wayne, remember him fondly as a strong, determined, dedicated family man with a great sense of humor. May he rest in peace with the Lord.
