Dyer
September 18, 1933 – January 23, 2024
Grace Dyer was a lifelong champion of her beloved hometown Spokane, WA. She lived for 80 of her years in the home built by her father Gus Bouten (founder of Bouten Construction) which over the years became a well-known feature of the Spokane Garden Club Summer Tour. She was married to the love of her life Lawrence Dyer whom affectionately called her "Gracie" for 56 years until his passing in 2015. They were blessed with 5 children: Mike, Monica, John, James, and Mary Ellen whom provided to her 3 grandchildren: Gregory James Stoddard, Suzanne Vogt, and Miranda Bowman. She leaves behind also her Brother Buck Bouten (m. Sharon) and their 4 children Joe, Bill, Tim, and Jeanie. The final loves of her life came in her 2 great grandchildren Elliott and Clara May Bowman.
Grace was a devout Catholic, awarded winning gardener, black lab loyalist, and an enthusiastic baker who capitalized on any opportunity to feed a hungry soul. She loved her family and her community with her whole heart and expressed herself through diligent support of Catholic Charities, the Zags, and all things Bouten Construction.
In representation of the standard expression of love and adoration which Larry would bestow upon in Grace on their January anniversary; the family would adore gifts of either daisies/carnations for services or donations to the PNW Parkinson's Foundation in either of their names.
