Ian D. Melton passed away on December 23, 2025. Ian was born May 3, 1986, in Bozeman, Montana and raised in Anchorage, Alaska.  After high school, his life journey took him to Hilo, Hawaii; Puyallup, Washington; and finally, to Spokane Valley, where he will be laid to rest.

Ian was a vibrant spirit who found community wherever he lived. He was known for his quick wit, jokes and storytelling.  He enjoyed gaming, cooking and gardening.  Ian saw the best in people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He lived in the present moment, embracing life with openness and heart.

Ian is survived by his parents, Thomas and Kelly Melton; his sisters, Molly and Maggie; both of his maternal grandmothers; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.

Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery on January 2nd. Rosary begins at 10:30 am followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
