Irene Roberta Garrett Anderson, born on January 15, 1927, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on July 20,2025 in Spokane, Washington. She was 98.

She married Robert E Anderson on March 21, 1953. Irene has 5 children; Chris (Doug) Banks, Robbie (Mike) Thorn, Greg (Stephanie) Anderson, Annette (John) Brennan, and Michael (Yvette) Anderson. She has 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

This amazing Irish woman graduated from St Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, becoming a Registered Dietitian serving in the US. Air Force and later at Rockwood Clinic. Irene was a Whitworth Water Commissioner from May 1990 to December 2017. She was a founding member of St Thomas More Church.

True to her Irish heritage she would want you to toast her life with an Irish whiskey.

Vigil service St. Thomas More, Sunday, July 27 at 5pm. Funeral mass St. Thomas More, Monday, July 28 at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Church.
