It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Harris announces his passing Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane with his wife at his side.

Jim was born in Chicago, April 2, 1943, to parents Ida and Walter W. Harris. When Jim was three, he relocated with his parents and his older sister, Sally J. Lust, to Seattle.

Jim was a gentle soul, thoughtful and reliable. He was a dedicated family man. Jim's wit, sarcasm and sense of humor will be missed. He loved his family, golf, outdoors, sports and his dogs, too many to mention.

He leaves behind his wife, Joyce Harris, four children, Blaine Smith, Jayme Harris, Kyle Smith, Jenifer Harris and grandchildren, Kellen and Beckett Smith (Kyle). And of course, Penelope, his loyal retiree canine, who was at his side from day one.

Family and friends will be celebrating his life at the family Newman Lake home on September 18, 2021.
