Jerrene R.
Ramm
January 4, 1943 – July 4, 2025
Jerrene Ramm, a lifetime resident of Spokane, passed away on July 4th.
She was born January 4th, 1943, to Ray and Agnes Thornock. She was a lively child, attending Libby Middle School and graduating from Lewis and Clark High School.
In the summers, she would go to Odessa to work with her Aunt Daisy and Uncle Joe Hardun during harvest. This is where she met the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Ronald Ramm.
She rode the bus back to Spokane; he followed her home and was waiting for her. They were married in Grace Lutheran Church in 1961. They were blessed with three children: daughter Jamie, followed by sons Craig and Kelly.
Ron and Jerri opened Stanley Garage Doors in 1973. Jerrene was the secretary, billing department, and parts desk. Together they grew the business to success for over 40 years.
Jerrene was also an amazing artist. She did freehand glass etching of plants, animals, trees, and flowers for custom home builders on mirrors and entryways.
After retiring, she enjoyed working in her beautiful yard and caring for her pets. She was a true animal lover who always had a dog nearby and a kitty on her lap.
She was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching golf, Mariners baseball, the Seattle Seahawks, and especially enjoyed Gonzaga men's basketball, rarely missing a game. Other hobbies included telling inappropriate jokes and stories, fishing for walleye at 7 Bays, lunches at Wendy's and Olive Garden, and shopping at Fred Meyer — always parking in the back where they knew her by name. She had her phone number memorized for her rewards and was always looking out for her as she aged.
We are so very grateful for those cashiers, her sister Cindee, and the caregivers from Right at Home who helped us with her care.
Jerrene is survived by her sister Cindee and brother-in-law Orlando, her Aunt Daisy, her son Craig, his wife Cyndi, her son Kelly, his wife Lisa, her grandsons Jared and Connor and his wife Natalie, and her great-grandson Gunnar.
