Judith
Browne
February 25, 1943 – March 14, 2026
Judith Browne, 83, of Spokane, was called by God on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Judy was born February 25, 1943 in Puerto Rico, the eldest of four children. She married her sweetheart Terry in New York in August 1966.
A science enthusiast and trailblazer, she graduated from Fordham University's School of Pharmacy in 1967 with her Bachelor of Science degree.
An avid science teacher and pharmacist, her career spanned from classrooms to hospitals where she enjoyed sharing her vast knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacognosy.
Raising five children, their family adventures took them from New York to California, and finally Washington.
Family trips included a cross-country trip in a station wagon, and excursions from the piers of the oceans to the snow of the mountains.
Dining out, taking care of the yard, pets and exploring nature and new places were favorite activities.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister. She is survived by one sister, her brother, 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
Judy was truly a devout Catholic and knew every priest and church or mission wherever the family journeys took her.
She always thought of the welfare of others first. Caring for family, friends, or strangers, Judy put her needs second to everyone else.
Her beloved husband Terry was everything to Judy, and for 56 years their love and devotion for each other and the Lord were witnessed daily.
