Spokane Valley -Katherine Joyce (Kathy) Reisenauer, born 21.July.1952 (71), passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, 7.July.2024 at her residence here.

Preceding her in death were her loving parents, Sylvester Clarence (1989) and Ruth Katherine (Page) (2011) Reisenauer.

She is survived by her sister-Carol Schuhart (Dick), nephew-Jimmy, niece-Kristin, great-nephews-Nolan, Brooks, and Max, and niece-Allison.

Kathy much enjoyed maintaining contact with extended family over the years, especially cousins. Kathy graduated from West Valley High School in 1970, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Washington State College in 1975, and continued advanced studies at Whitworth College through 1976.

She loved all about nursing and the medical/nursing community loved her. She retired in 2019 from oncology at Sacred Heart Hospital with 38 years' service to the community. To the end, she generously contributed sage advisement to family, friends, and neighbors to our continued well-being.

Kathy's family gives sincere thanks to Judy and Tim Herda, with whom she spent final years, for the devotion, generosity, care, and understanding given Kathy in their home.
