Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kurt W. Hubbart, who left this world on January 30th, 2025, at the age of fifty-six. He was born on July 3, 1968, in Spokane Washington. Kurt was a cherished son, father, brother, and friend to many. His life, spanning from July 3,1968 to January 30,2025 was filled with many achievements, adventures, and a warmth that touched all who knew him.

He is survived by children, Chance and Lucas Hubbart, their mother Heather Hubbart, his mother Lynn and husband Steve O'Neall, father Steve Hubbart, his brother Kyle O'Neall and wife Nicole, niece and nephews, Konner, Kiersten and Kaeleb O'Neall; his uncles Kim Hubbart and wife Debby, Michael Hall and wife Chris, Larry Hall and wife Cheryl, Richard Dubois and wife Debbie and aunt Marcia and Husband Leonard Parks , cousins; Jodi, Chris, Kaela, Manzie, Jake, Gina, Lee, Elizbeth , Alec and Lindsey.  Kurt is preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Charlie Dubois and Bill and Barbara Hubbart and his aunt Tere Hall.

Kurt attended Saint Patrick Grade School and Rogers High School. His passion for sports was evident at an early age. He excelled in football at Rogers H.S. and continued with athletic pursuits for most of his life. After high school he began his work career at Albertsons before moving on to Oneonta Starr Ranch and finishing at Valley Produce.

Kurt was a man of many interests and had a great passion for the outdoors, Kurt was a triathlete having completed many Iron-Man and Xterra triathlons, Kurt was an avid cyclist, skier, snowboarder, wakeboarder, golfer and fly fisherman. Kurt loved to travel whether for work or pleasure he loved to explore new places. We all have many memories while sharing these activities with him.

As we mourn this profound loss, we acknowledge the circumstances surrounding Kurt's passing. While we wish to be open about this, the loss of a loved one is always difficult, regardless of the circumstances. We encourage everyone to remember Kurt for the man he was, the joy he brought to our lives and the memories we now hold dear.

Kurt may have left this world but his spirit, love and laughter will forever remain in our hearts. We will hold on to the memory of the man we loved and the impact he made on our lives. Rest in Peace, you will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of Life on March 1st, 2025, at 2:pm at the Eagles Aerie #2, 6410 N Lidgerwood St, Spokane, WA 99208. Donations can be made in his memory to Rogers High School Football program or Hillyard Built.
