Obituary

Larry Heid Sr. passed away surrounded by family on May 16th, 2024. He was born in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho on February 13th, 1952. Larry spent his childhood in Otis Orchard's helping his dad and two brothers maintain their family farm. Larry was a great student in school and loved football. He graduated from East Valley High School and soon become the father of Larry Jr. and Jeff.

Larry met his wife Mena in 1976 and raised their families together. They enjoyed spending time outside with their many pets, including horses, cats, and many dogs. Larry loved all of his animals, but he had a special bond with his Yellow Lab Alieanie, who was his best friend and side kick.

Larry enjoyed his many careers, most of which were in retail and sales. He retired from Frito-Lay after 22 years of service. After Larry retired, him and his wife were basically inseparable, spending their days doing everything together, from grocery store runs to sports games and even long trips with friends to Arizona.

Larry was an avid sports fan, and never missed any of his grand children's various sporting events. He also enjoyed going to Gonzaga Women's Basketball games, as they have been long term season ticket holders. Larry supported all Washington teams and loved watching games with family.

Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mena Heid; their four sons, Larry Jr., Mickey, Jeff, and Matt; his brothers, Ron and Steve; his 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Larry will be fondly remembered and loved by all who knew him.
