Obituary

Learon Tidwell was the only son of Luther and Bonnie born in Dallas, TX.

After high school he was stationed at Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base in San Diego where he received a good conduct medal, secret clearance, a national defense service medal and a rifle expert badge. He regretted never serving in Vietnam as after all preparedness and shots were complete Second Battalion Platoon 2131 was "blue tagged." Then assigned to Moffat Field Airbase in Mt. View, CA as a guard where he met Peggy, married January 1975 and moved to Dallas for 1 ½ years then returning and working for Draeger's Markets.

After retiring they relocated to Newman Lake, WA along with daughters Charlsie and Lauren where he is laid to rest.

As a self-taught, insightful man, lover of music, avid reader of history and politics he was always searching for knowledge.

"Bubba" was the beloved, protective and adored fun-loving brother to his three younger beautiful sisters Wyota, Toni and Jackie.

As a great husband, loving father, friend to many and fun, funny grandfather to Savannah, Gabriella and Mason, Learon's wit, humor and love will be sorely missed yet always remembered by all.

Services will be held on May 22, 2025 at 3:00PM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Spokane Valley, WA. Online memorial page can be found at www.holycrossofspokane.org
