Obituary

Leroy Adrian Randall passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 29, 1944, in Lewiston, Idaho, Leroy was the cherished son of Ann and Burgin Randall.

Leroy's love story began in high school, where he met Shirley, the love of his life. The pair became sweethearts, and after Leroy graduated from West Valley High School in 1962, he pursued electronics studies at Spokane Community College. On August 22, 1964, Leroy and Shirley began their journey together as husband and wife, building a beautiful life filled with love and partnership.

Leroy enjoyed a successful career as an electrical systems engineer, spending 36 years at Kaiser before retiring in 2002. He later applied his skills as a PC programmer with KN Electric and concluded his working years at ISS, retiring fully at the age of 68.

Family was at the heart of Leroy's life. He and Shirley raised three wonderful children and spent more than 20 years in Spokane Valley before making their home in Newman Lake in 1992. A man of many talents and interests, Leroy had a passion for classic cars, especially his prized '67 Firebird. He found joy in classic TV shows, music, and hands-on carpentry and electrical projects. From wiring his home to crafting decks and sheds, Leroy's industrious spirit left its mark on everything he touched. His unwavering positivity and inspiring attitude touched everyone who knew him.

Leroy is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Shirley, his children Rick (Kristy) Randall, Christine (Wade) Clutter, and James Randall, and his three grandchildren, Taylor (Susan) Clutter, Andrew Clutter, and Alex Clutter. He is also survived by his siblings Rita (Bill) Baker, Sharon (Al) Degenstein, Ken (Connie) Randall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Leroy's life will be held on March 29th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 17825 E Trent Ave, Spokane Valley, WA, 99216. All are welcome to celebrate his memory and legacy. Online memorial page can be found at www.holycrossofspokane.org
