Margaret (Peggy) J. McCauley was born on December 17, 1936 in Spokane, WA to Leo and Bernadette Conlon. Peggy passed away on August 19, 2022 at Multi Care Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, WA with her husband at her side. Peggy passed away peacefully from natural causes.
Peggy grew up in Spokane and was the middle child of three. She graduated from Holy Names Academy in 1955. Peggy went on to college at Gonzaga University and transferred to Seattle University where she received her bachelor's degree. At Seattle U. Peggy met her future husband Larry on her 21 st birthday, December 17, 1957 and married on June 13, 1959. They made the Seattle area their home. During this time in Seattle they created a beautiful family of four boys, Michael, Jeffrey, Steven, and Sean. Throughout the years, Larry coached the boys in numerous sports, and Peggy was right beside him through it all. Peggy was the backbone of the family; leading the way in her faith in God and her love of her family.
In 1997 after retiring they moved to Spokane to be closer to the grandchildren. During this time Peggy and Larry dedicated their time and love to their grandkids. One of their highlights during this time was being able to live in Hawaii for six months.
Peggy is survived by her husband Larry and her sister Kay, sons Michael (Suzie), Jeffrey (Gina), daughter-in-law Renea (Steven), and Sean. Grandkids Kelsey, and Megan (Mike and Suzie), Matthew, Maria, Ryan, Lauren, and Sophia (Jeff and Gina), Travis (Steven and Renea), and Emilie (Sean). Great grandchildren Luna and Shelby (Scott and Megan Kenney), Ty, Wells and Ames (Andy and Kelsey Wagner). In addition to numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.
Peggy was preceded by her parents Leo and Bernadette Conlon, and her brother Patrick Conlon. Peggy lost her third born son Steven on July 4, 2022 due to a sudden heart attack.
