Marilyn passed on her 90th birthday, January 19 th , 2022. She was born in a farmhouse in Colton, Washington, near the farm where she spent her entire childhood. She graduated from Colton High School and later WSU, where she majored in sociology. Marilyn married Bev (Dave) Davidson in 1958, with whom she had three children. Aside from a brief stay in Redwood, City, CA, she lived in Spokane since 1960. Most of that time she served as a social worker at Eastern State Hospital, from which she retired. Marilyn was a wonderful, selfless mother whose only concern was the happiness of those around her. She had a deep, unquestioned faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, and was a devoted Roman Catholic her entire life. Her charity and faith was a beacon of hope to all those around her. Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to be in her company.
She is survived by her children Bill, Chris (Jerilyn), and Carol (George); as well as her grandchildren Kimberly, Eric, Raymond, Mark, Marie, Jill, Andrew, and Chelsea, and great-grandchildren Avery, Elise and Penelope.
Her vigil will be Friday, January 28th at 6:00 pm at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, 515 W St Thomas More Way, Spokane, WA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the same location on Saturday, January 29th at 1:00 pm. Donations can be made to Catholic Charities Spokane, 12 E 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
