Mary Jane Keller (Buerster), passed away on October 3, 2023, in Spokane, Washington. Born on May 9, 1934 in Wendelin, Illinois to Adam and Monica Buerster, she was the oldest of 8 children.

Mary Jane, often referred to simply as Jane especially at home in Illinois, was a kind, generous and humble soul, and a loving mother to her 6 children.

After raising her oldest 5 children, Mary Jane worked in the cashier's office at Sacred Heart Medical Center for over 20 years and met many good friends there during her tenure.

Mary Jane loved to read, enjoyed gardening and was part of a hiking club in Spokane many years ago. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Matthew, Christopher, Lindsey, Melissa and Victoria, and 5 great-grandchildren, and loved spending time with all of them.

Mary Jane is survived by her children: Cynthia Pavlischak, James (Lori) Keller, Michael Keller, Laura Boles, Christine (Jim) Fox, and Mary Keller (Earl Parks). She also leaves behind her brother, Paul Buerster (Michelle) and sister Teresa Ritz, along with many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends around the Spokane area.

The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to mom's caregivers at Candlelight Adult Family Home for providing her such loving care during the last months of her life.

A funeral mass and celebration of her life will take place in the coming months.
