Mary Elizabeth Thatcher, age 97, a 33-year resident of Roseville, CA passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021 and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Mary was born Oct 2, 1923 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Jacob and Henrietta (Anderson) Stachofsky. She was raised in the Spokane area and moved to Cupertino, California in 1960 where she worked at Lockheed Space and Missals for 25 years.

She was a devoted mother of 6 children and became mom to many of the children's friends over the years. Mary was a woman of prayer and faith and always had a song in her heart.  She loved the Lord Jesus deeply and was involved with 55 Alive at Adventure Church for many years.  After retiring she moved to Roseville to be close to her son and daughter where she loved watching her grandchildren grow up. She enjoyed trips to the snow and even went snowshoeing at 80 yrs old.  She loved celebrating the holidays with her family and friends. Before retirement Mary was able to travel abroad to many countries and throughout the states with family. Highlights were her travel to Israel, Rome and Hong Kong.

Mary was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Joe, Will and George and her sister Helen, and her daughter Marsha Thatcher Nelson.

She is survived by her five children, Paul Thatcher (Joan) of San Diego, Matthew Thatcher (Carol) of Orangevale, Christine Tidwell (Gordon) of Colville, WA, Monica Wade of Roseville, MaryBeth Vega (Ernie) of Palo Cedro; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Inurnment and graveside service will be on August 11 ^th at11:00. Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel in Spokane, WA. Please join the family for a luncheon reception at 12:00 noon
