Pamela Grace
Spino
June 21, 1946 – June 10, 2025
Pamela Grace "Pam" Spino, 78, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Spokane, Washington.
Born on June 21, 1946, in Port Townsend, Washington, Pam grew up with a deep sense of faith and community that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated from Immaculate High School in Seattle in 1964 and went on to attend Fort George Wright College. Following her studies, she entered the Holy Names Convent, where she remained until 1981—a testament to her lifelong devotion and spiritual commitment.
Pam was married to Pat Spino JR at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Spokane on August 31, 1985. The church would become central to her life for decades. She and Pat were faithful members of the parish and active participants in its vibrant community. Pam sang joyfully in the church choir and was involved with the Faith and Light group, offering support and fellowship to others through shared worship.
Pam's life was filled with creativity and warmth. She had a passion for baking that brought joy to many gatherings. In her later years, she discovered a love for watercolor painting and sketching—an artistic pursuit that earned her a blue ribbon at the Spokane County Fair for a portrait of a cat. Her talents extended beyond art; she was also known for organizing family outings and cross-country trips that created lasting memories.
As an Air Force wife for seven years, Pam embraced adventure and adaptability with grace. She cherished time spent with friends and family—especially fishing trips with Pat—and found joy in simple pleasures shared with loved ones.
Pam was deeply involved in numerous organizations that reflected her generous spirit and zest for life. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society of Women of the Moose, L'Arche of Spokane, Faith and Light Group, Wild Rose Ramblers square-dances and other community groups where she formed lasting friendships. After being diagnosed with Parkinsons, she sang with the Tremble Clefs.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son Andrew William (May 1987), her mother Mae L. Steck (Raynor), father Edward W. Steck Jr., and siblings Nathan Steck and Peggy Steck.
Pam is survived by her devoted husband Pat Spino; siblings Louise Gervais, David Steck, and Gary Steck; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry forward her memory with love.
Pamela Grace Spino will be remembered for her unwavering faith, creative spirit, loving heart, and enduring kindness. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
