Patricia Ann
Casey
November 12, 1940 – February 17, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Casey announces her passing on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the age of 83.
Patricia was a lifetime resident of Spokane and attended Marycliff High School and Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She and Richard married in 1963. Pat worked as an RN at Sacred Heart Hospital before deciding to stay home and raise their four children.
Pat was very active at St. Patrick's school and parish where she volunteered her time teaching Sunday school, helping with health exams, reading to students, and coordinating the annual run-a-thon fundraiser.
Pat loved music. She learned to play guitar, sang with the church choir, and always had pop music on at home. After retiring from Portamedic, she enjoyed volunteering with Hospice of Spokane.
She loved to jog and participated in many Bloomsday runs as well as events in Seattle, Phoenix and Boulder with her children.
Her great love was spending time at the family cabin at Long Lake where she welcomed everyone and impressed us with her water ski skills off the dock. Our gatherings there each summer became a cherished tradition.
Pat is survived by her husband Richard, loving children Brian (Karla) Casey, Colleen Casey, Theresa (Sean) Burke; grandchildren Brandon (Lindsey) Casey, Allison (Michael) Tambs, Elizabeth (Joseph) Harrington, MaryKate Burke and Brian Burke; five great-grandchildren; her sister Barbara Floyd and brother Robert Green. Pat was preceded in death by her son Steven Casey, parents Robert and Dorothy Green, and brothers William Green, and Richard Green.
The Casey family would like to thank Pat's caregivers Jane and Wendy who lovingly cared for her during the last year of her life.
