Obituary

In loving memory of Patricia Giannandrea, who passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on April 20, 1938, in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Irene Yesesky. She grew up surrounded by love and faith, values she carried with her throughout her life.

Patricia was a devoted wife to her husband, John, with whom she shared 67 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising their six children: Anthony, John, Michael, Mary, Kathleen and Matthew. Patricia was the heart and pillar of our family. She worked hard to raise her children, often putting their needs before her own. She would stay up until midnight so that laundry was done or to ensure her teenagers made it home safe. Patricia made it a priority to attend and support her children in all of their various athletics, as well as the teams that her husband coached throughout the years. Her determination, resilience, and unconditional love were the foundation on which our family was built; a role she cherished and excelled in. Her nurturing nature and unwavering support extended to her 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.

From an early age, Patricia demonstrated her natural ability to care for others by taking on the role of the “big sister.” After her brother Joe was diagnosed with polio, She became both his caregiver and protector. She was often seen carrying him up the stairs on her hip and later teaching him how to navigate the stairs safely on his own. Patricia also looked out for both Joe and her sister, Carol, trying to keep them out of trouble—even if it meant getting scolded herself. Her sense of responsibility and willingness to look after those around her were evident from a young age.

A graduate of Duquesne High School in Pennsylvania, Patricia's career path led her through various roles. She worked her first job as a secretary in Pennsylvania, then a legal secretary for the juvenile judge in Carson City, Nevada, and finished her career as the financial secretary at the Spokane Skills Center. Doing all of this while raising six children, getting them to clean their rooms, doing laundry, preparing meals, attending all their sporting events, along with being a coach's wife.

An active member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Patricia was deeply involved in her community. She was always ready to lend a hand where needed. This often took the form of cooking and serving food for parishioners, including baking biscotti for the parish priest. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she found great joy in being part of her church community.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph and Irene Yesesky, and her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Tim Petrisko. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Funeral services for Patricia will be held on October 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, located at 708 E. Lake St., Medical Lake, Washington. A rosary will be held the evening before, October 21, at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Anne’s Catholic Church in honor of Patricia’s lifelong commitment to her faith, church, and community.

Patricia will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering faith—a life well-lived and a soul deeply cherished.
