Patrick Joseph Hamill (78), of Spokane, WA passed away on June 22, 2023

Patrick, was born to Grace L. Tinsley on February 21, 1945, he was adopted out shortly after birth to George & Louise Hamill.  He was a history buff, loved all things military.  After graduating from Shadle Park High School he joined the Navy. He was in Vietnam and after Vietnam he went on 2 deployments on board the USS Bennington and the USS Hancock, after the Navy, he married Carol J. Hamill and attended Eastern Washington University and thus becoming a Respiratory Therapist.  He had three children with Carol: Shawn, Michelle and Kristy.  He divorced Carol, he then met the love of his life Sandi Hamill and married her March 21, 1976 they then adopted his fourth child Chelsea in 1990.  Patrick and Sandi parted in 1992 and remained very close friends.  He worked for St. Elizabeth's in Yakima, WA as a Respiratory Therapist for over 35 years, during this time he also was a Medic in the Reserves for over 5 years, he was called to Desert Storm.

Aside from his love for history and the military, he was one of a kind!  His personality was such to where you never knew what he was going to say and was always surprised, he also had an amazing heart of gold and as a fault, he was an extremely generous man!  He will truly be missed!

Patrick is survived by his four children, Shawn Hamill, Michelle Perales (Al), Kristina McDonald (Steve) and Chelsea Smith.  Along with his grandchildren, Amanda, Serena, Devlin, Julene, Sophia, Tyler, Royce, Radley and Thea.  His great-grandchildren, Paisley, Maximus, Leonidas, Andre' and Yvainne.  Patrick's siblings, Angie, Rick and Marjorie.  Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise and Grace.  We want to thank Patriot's Glen for the beautiful care that they did for Patrick.
