Mrs. Regina M (Barzen) Edwards, 87, a resident of Spokane, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Deaconess Hospital.

She was the wife of Allen G Edwards. She married Allen on 21 Oct 1957 in Bernkastel-Kues Germany.

She was born on 8 September 1935 in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Day) Barzen

She is survived husband Allen G Edwards, Daughter Anne Catherine of San Jose, Sons Gordon Dean of San Diego and Timothy Carl and his wife Lynnette of Spokane; One brother Adolph and his wife Erika, of Bernkastel-Kues; and three sisters Cecilia Steinkopf of Frankfurt Germany, Helene of Bernkastel-Kues and Josepha Floter of Zeltingen-Rachtig. She had three Brothers; Walter, Franz and Peter and three sisters; Marianne, Hilda and Ottilie that predeceased her.

Regina loved the Lord with all her heart and served him with gladness. Wherever her husband's assignments took her, she always connected with the Catholic faith community. Coming from a "singing" family, she would join the church choir right away. She was in ministry for all the years she was in the USA. Catholic ministry of sacramental preparation, pastoral care and bereavement ministries until the Lord called her home. She gave glory to God because he powered her.
