Richard Franklin Lyons Jr, 84, of Peoria, Arizona joined his heavenly family on December 8, 2021. He was born in Bend, Oregon and blessed with a life full of Jesus, love, family, and golf. He was a valued Safeway employee for 43 years and until retirement, resided in Spokane, Washington. Richard was also blessed to be married to the love of his life, Joann M Lyons for 44 wonderful years. Together they retired to Peoria, Arizona where Richard got to enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing bridge and pinochle, and never missed the opportunity for a round of golf.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Joann; children, Judith (Michael) Dupuis, Julie Nolan, Jeanette (Rick) Nelson, Jill (Greg) Wiehle, Richard (Leah) Lyons, Dwain (Christine) Pickens, and Randall (Ronit) Lyons; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna (Doug) Krous; and brother-in-law, Ralph (Barbra) Green.

Meeting him at the gates of heaven will be his parents; Richard Sr and Deloris Lyons; Sister, Patricia Payton; brother-in-law, Robert Payton; daughter-in-law, Teresa Pickens; and son-in-law, Patrick Nolan.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Friday January 7, 2022 at St Joseph Parish, 3720 E. Colbert Rd., Colbert, WA followed by a reception. He will then be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane.
