Robert W Kennedy's Obituary
Robert "Bob" W. Kennedy of Spokane, Washington passed away December 27, 2022. Born to Angus
"John" and Edith Kennedy on March 29, 1941 in Massena, New York, Robert and his family moved to
Spokane in 1946. He attended Gonzaga Preparatory School and Rogers High where he met Pamela
"Pam" (Gust) Kennedy. They married and raised two sons Matthew and Mark.
Robert worked thirty plus years in the petroleum business from servicing automobiles and trucks, then
managing the warehouse and eventually moving to sales, retiring in 2010. Not one to sit still, Robert
went to work at the White Elephant until 2020.
Quick to smile with an easy laugh and always willing to help, Robert enjoyed spending time with
family and friends whether in the middle of a lake fishing, in the woods camping or cross-country
skiing, on the golf course with a drive straight down the middle, or in the stands cheering on the
Cougs, Bulldogs, Mariners, or Seahawks.
In addition to husband and father, grandpa was a favorite role attending his grandchildren's recitals,
concerts, games, and high school graduations as well as celebrating holidays, birthdays and other
special occasions. He was always up for a game of monopoly or clue or putting together a puzzle.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lawrence Kennedy, sister Helen Messer,
brother Joseph Kennedy, brother-in-law Archie Messer, sister-in-law Joanne Kennedy and brother-in-
law Bob Corigliano, goddaughers Stephanie Zeigler, Erica Zeigler, and Tara (Zeigler) Limon.
He is survived by Pam, his wife of 59 years, sons, Matthew (Tyra) and Mark (Carolyn),
grandchildren, Hanna, Alexander, Katie, and Liz, brother Angus "Gus" Kennedy, sisters Donna (Mike)
Tabit, Patricia Batchelder, sisters-in-law Bertie Kennedy, Linda Corigliano and Gloria Gust (Jerry
Wood), numerous nieces and nephews, goddaughters Stephanie Zeigler, Erica Zeigler, and Tara
(Zeigler) Limon.
