Robert James
Swannack
July 21, 1950 – October 4, 2024
Robert J Swannack Jr, a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring and humorous personality, left us October 4th, 2024; he was surrounded by family. Robert J Swannack was born July 21st, 1950, at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA.
Bobby grew up in East Farms, WA and graduated from East Valley High School. He then started working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in 1969 until he retired in 2008. He loved to hunt and camp at the North Fork River with family, friends and railroad buddies (Kenny Brown). He also enjoyed spending time on the Clearwater River. The Newman Lake community could always find him down at the docks having fun with the tractor pulling the docks out or putting them back in. He loved cutting wood! "There's something about a man and his chainsaw; that's therapy". In his retirement, he also enjoyed plowing everybody's driveway out at the lake and changing pipes at the hay field with his brother-in-law Gary Jackson. He worked hard to enjoy his retirement, family and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife Constance Swannack (Couch) of 44 years of marriage. His sister Catherine Jackson (Swannack) and his stepson Brad Hobbs. He is survived by his brother Scott Swannack—partner Deb Stahlman; children Connie Coker, Rusty Swannack, Sabrina Hensley and Mary Hobbs. Grandchildren: Kayla Kimball, Christopher Coker, Jamie Swannack, McKayla (Dace) Chadburn and Levi (Kamry) Hensley. Great grandchildren: Aylen Harvey, Zhen Harvey, Khylee Chadburn, AyDen Chadburn, Walker Hensely and June Hensley.
Robert J Swannack Jr, beacon of tough, hardworking, kindness and love will forever reside in our hearts. His legacy, exemplified by being a big gentle giant with a big heart. As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through chopping wood, working hard, making sarcastic remarks and the love he instilled in us.
Services will be held at St Joseph's Cemetery November 1st at 1:30 pm. Following the burial the family would like to invite family and friends to the Newman Lk, WA Grange Hall for Bobby's celebration of life.
