Obituary

On May 3 rd , 2023 Ron went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born July 14 th 1934 in Spokane Washington to Bernard and Mabel Wayerski. Ron attended St. Aloysius grade school, Gonzaga High School and Gonzaga University. Ron was in the U.S. Naval Reserves and served in Japan and Hawaii. After the Navy, Ron married his loving wife Patricia (Pat) Ready in April 1964. He joined the Spokane Police Department in 1961 and made detective before retiring in 1986. After this, Ron continued to work as a Court Security Officer at the U.S. Courthouse in Spokane for 10 years. Ron was preceded in death by his wife Pat in 2018, and is survived by his older sister Shirley, and his children Tom Wayerski (Karen) and Terri Hoover (Jay), grandchildren Haley Wayerski, Tricia Hoover and Sarah Hoover and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron enjoyed golfing, carving wood and traveling with Pat. He especially enjoyed spending winters in Pismo Beach with his retired friends. He was an avid Seahawks and Zags fan. Special thanks to Fairwinds Retirement Community and Hospice of Spokane for the care that was given to Ron in his final weeks.
