Rosemary Polillo was born May 29, 1931 in Lewiston, Idaho to Pietro (Pete) and Caterina (Catherine)(Facci) Polillo. She attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from Lewiston High School. Growing up she helped in the family cherry orchard in the Lewiston Orchards with her siblings-Fanny, Santina, Antonia (Toni), Nancy and Tom. After Graduation she moved to Spokane to attend Kinman Business School. In Spokane she worked in the McKesson-Robbins Spokane office. Here she made many friends including Diane Uthe. In 1956, she and Diane moved to San Francisco, California. Rosemary took a job at Calaveras Cement Company shortly after arriving in San Francisco. She started as a fill in for different office jobs and retired 38 years later as a sales manager. She had a full career with Calaveras. Here she also made many friends over the years including Pat Martin. In 1986, Rosemary, Diane and Pat decided to move into a town house across the Bay in Alameda, California. The three of them were best friends and house mates for 38 years until Rosemary's death October 4, 2024. Rosemary could always find the fun in life. She enjoyed being with her siblings and their families and her friends who became family. She was a kind, loving person who always had a smile and positive words and thoughts for everyone.
