Roslynn
Trujillo
May 5, 1971 – December 19, 2023
Roslynn Trujillo was born on May 5th 1971 to Barbara and Marc Trujillo in San Bernardino California. She left this world peacefully on December 19th , 2023 with her mother at her side and in the presence of the loving arms of God.
Passing at the age of 52, she suffered most of her adult life in pain related to scleroderma. She nearly died at birth with septicemia. As a result of this infection, she developed brain damage which resulted in developmental delays throughout her life.
Despite these challenges, Roslynn and her mother faced life on life's terms with support from her Grandmother Dee, her Grandfather Thomas, her Uncle Tommy and his wife Susan, her Aunt Cecelia, and her husband Mike, and her Aunt Ellen and her husband Skip, who helped raise and support them in their early years. Roslynn spent many days in the company of her nieces Hillary, Leigh Ellen, Theresa, and Savanah, and nephews Michael and Christopher sunbathing at the beach, watching fireworks on the Fourth of July, singing songs, and reading books.
As a young child, Roslynn would walk up to strangers and say Hi. In special education all of her life, she graduated from high school at the age of 21. Of special note is the tutelage of her teacher Sue Wilson who taught her how to read.
Roslynn and her mother spent many years traveling from coast to coast while attending the prestigious Camp Lee Mar in Pennsylvania. She grew and thrived under the care of Lee Morone, who was instrumental in 'turning her life around.' Roslynn was very popular at this camp and made many friends including Gail Ehrens, her speech therapist, and many counselors who were touched by her frank remarks and behaviors.
Those who knew Roslynn, especially all staff members and peers at the ARC of Spokane, are well aware of her passion for Batman and her love of music. Their kindness and support will never be forgotten.
The world lost a shining bright star when Roslynn left its realm. Her mother will never be the same. It is her only hope that she is resting peacefully in the arms of angels.
