Obituary of Sally Jo Hattamer
Sally Jo "Sprague" Hattamer (age 76), a long term resident of Spokane, WA. passed away on October 30, 2025. Sally was born in Denver, Colorado on August 20, 1949, to Orrin "Jack" and Mary Sprague. Sally spent her childhood years in Colorado and Montana before her family moved to Spokane during her teenage years, a place she would lovingly call home for the rest of her life. In 1970, Sally married the love of her life, Larry W. Hattamer, and together they shared 55 years of marriage. Sally worked as a devoted hairdresser for over 54 years, building lasting friendships and touching countless lives through her warmth and kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Sprague, her in-laws Clarence and Virginia Hattamer, and great granddaughter Abigail Jo Sawchuk. She is survived by her Husband, Larry W Hattamer, Daughters Jennifer Hattamer, Tracy Hattamer and Amie Jo Holbrook, twin sister Sharon Cleveland and husband Clark Cleveland. Grandchildren Zachary Sawchuk (wife, Shelby Zerr), TJ Sawchuk (wife, Chloe Schmidt), and Stephanie Sawchuk, Great Grandchildren Aniya, Kayden, Elizabeth, Hope, Montgomery, and Weston along with the brothers Chad, Craig, Zac, and Mark. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of the staff at Alderwood. Larry would like to thank the caregivers who supported and loved Sally and him, as that love is also reciprocated. These caregivers provided compassionate care and support for Larry and Sally during her final years. Sally will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generosity, strength, and unwavering love for her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Sally's honor.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church (304 S Adams Rd, Spokane Valley, 99216) on Wednesday, November 5th at 10:00AM.
