Obituary

Sally Denise Robertson, born April 4th, 1970, passed away on February 28th, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones at her home in Spokane, Washington. Sally is survived by her husband of 26 years, Craig Robertson, and her sons John Paul and Brennan Robertson. She was born to Jan (Mears) and John Seward in Los Angeles, California. She later lived in Oklahoma with her mother and beloved stepfather Galen Ward, but Sally's California roots and love for the sunshine and the West Coast brought her back to UC Irvine, where she was president of her sorority, Delta Gamma, and graduated with a degree in Criminal Psychology. Sally then acquired a Master's degree in Criminology, also from UC Irvine.

In 1997, Sally met Craig Robertson, a Marine corpsman who was stationed at El Toro. Hailing from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Craig convinced Sally to give the Northwest a chance. In 1998, they moved to Spokane, and were married in 1999. Their eldest son John Paul was born in 2002, followed by Brennan in 2005.

Having happily traded palm trees for evergreens, Sally set about planting roots in her new community. Deeply dedicated to her children's upbringing, Sally found an extended family in the All Saints and Our Lady of Fatima communities. She was known for her presence at athletic games and school events, and frequent involvement in church activities, including service on the parish council.

Sally loved baseball and became an avid fan of the Mariners. She enjoyed reading, playing card games, and spending time with her beloved pets, especially her cat Lilly. Sally was known for her unfailing attention to etiquette, showing how much she cared for her friends and family through thoughtful handwritten cards and letters.

Sally was a generous person who always cared more about others' well-being than her own; she also found great comfort in her Catholic volunteer work at the Spokane Veterans Home and Rockwood Manor. Yet, her proudest role was being a mother. The men they have become stand as her most meaningful legacy.

Family and friends are invited to take part in a Rosary at Our Lady of Fatima on Thursday, March 19th at 7 PM, and the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima on Friday, March 20th, at 11am. Floral arrangements received will be brought to the Veterans Home after the ceremony for the enjoyment of the residents.
