Scott James Randall passed away on June 10, 2026, in Spokane, WA, at the age of 67. Born on August 27, 1958, in Spokane, WA. Scott's father served in the Air Force, which is why Scott lived in several places: Moses Lake, WA; Altus, OK; Oahu, HI; Laredo, TX; Sacramento, CA; and Springfield, OR.
In his youth, his parents, Carol & Jim, along with his brother, Tony, lived a traditional family upbringing. Scott and Tony were the best of brothers, the typical brotherly love of terrorizing each other with "thumpers". Scott was involved in Boy Scouts, baseball, and football. Listening to music on a record player, especially the Beatles, inspired him to learn and teach himself to play the acoustic guitar.
Scott graduated from Joel E. Ferris (1976), Spokane Community College (1978), and Seattle University (1983) with degrees in Biology and Ultrasound. He pursued a career in cardiovascular ultrasound for Heart Clinics Northwest, continuing to work as a pharmaceutical representative for Bristol Myers Squibb, and early retired with Lantheus. Scott married Maureen in 1982 and raised their family in Spokane. He lived a life full of humor and fun family traditions, and a quiet dedication to those he loved, alongside his furry companion, Bailey dog.
Scott openly shared his heartfelt love for music, connecting deeply with others through his passion for melody, his tenor voice, and acoustic guitar. Playing liturgical music, Gregorian chant, classical melodies, and contemporary sounds. He sang harmony to remember in local churches like Sacred Heart, St. Peter's, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Gonzaga. To this day, his music continues to hold a special place in the hearts of those parishioners who fondly remember the comforting sound it brought to their lives. Music clearly resonates with him, and he has published his liturgical music through resource publications (OCP).
In 1986, Scott was showcased at the Liturgical Music Service in Minneapolis, MN. Continuously playing music, in 2008, he connected with a music group called the Spare Parts. Scott was a "Core Four" founder. He played acoustic guitar and tenor vocals for their vast "jukebox" repertoire. His choice of his music playlist always seemed to be the hits. Today, Scott's diverse styles of music bring comfort and inspiration to those around him.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, James Randall. He leaves behind his mother, Carol Randall (Brown); brother, Tony Randall (Nancy); his wife of 44 years, Maureen Randall (McCann); their children, Katie Valenta (Christian), Carrie Rice-Sauer (Josh), and Matthew Randall (Brianna); and six grandchildren: Madison, Ethan, Beauregard, Jaxon, Rylee, and Jameson.
A service to honor Scott's life will be held on July 10, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, located at 330 E Boone Ave, Spokane, WA. A full Mass will be observed. Following the service, a burial will take place at 1:00 pm at Immaculate Heart Retreat & Queen of Peace Cemetery, 6910 S. Ben Burr Rd., Spokane, WA. We warmly invite you to join us! Your presence would mean so much to us as we remember Scott.
