Stephen Ray Helms, 74, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on October 1, 2026.

Born on July 14, 1952, Stephen dedicated his professional life to precision and safety as a skilled welding inspector. Outside of his career, Stephen was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who truly loved riding his Harley Davidson, finding peace and freedom on the open road.

He is survived by his three beloved grandchildren, Alex Helms, Stephen Helms, and Stella Helms, as well as his surviving brothers and sister. Arrow, Stephen's cherished dog, and constant, loyal companion, passed just days before Stephen, a testament to their inseparable bond.

A funeral mass will be held in his honor on October 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church (330 E Boone Ave, Spokane, WA), with visitors welcome for viewing at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend and celebrate Stephen's life before he is laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
